Hacktivity1 is a platform that advocates for ethical cybersecurity practices, data protection, and internet privacy.
How did we get here?
The concept of physical security is not unfamiliar to the majority of individuals. It is common knowledge that leaving one’s door open while being away or openly displaying valuable possessions in an area known for criminal activity is unwise. However, the notion of cybersecurity, data protection, and internet privacy remains relatively unfamiliar to many individuals.
It seems that most people either fail to recognize or underestimate the potential negative consequences that their lax internet safety practices can have on their physical safety. It is important to acknowledge that cybersecurity and physical security are interconnected and should not be treated as separate entities.
